Top 20 Everything
Ok, so this is going to brief, but I've been thinking of putting up a few Top 20 lists - for software, vacation destinations, etc... So watch this space!
Jetsetters
I've been pricing airline tickets on so many websites lately that I now look up flights on comparison sites like http://www.saflights.co.za/ to save time. Its such a pleasure to look up stuff on there and the best part of it all is they also do international flights. Of late, thats my new focus. I am looking to travel overseas some time soon and so my research has begun. Wesites like SAflights.co.za has been a lifesaver comparing all the necessary legs of the trip, usually stopping in London before heading out to Europe or America. So I'm highly recommending that you check them ...
The Month of May
The month is almost finished and we're nearly half way through 2010 already. After having FICA freeze all my bank accounts and cellular network lock my Blackberry with its mandatory limit, I became stuck without cash or communication this past week. Ouch! With all send and done I've decided to take a vacation in Mozambique where I'll be enjoying the sun and everything under it for a long weekend. So with this being a very short blog, I'm happily going to say, goodnight and I'll post some pictures up next month when I get back. Ciao 4 now
The Virtual Internet Marketing Upstart
Eighteen months ago I joined a group of wild online marketers under the mentorship of Justin Harrison on his Internet Marketing Upstart program. The program has remained closed to the public whilst members have been quietly dominating online markets… until now! In case you weren’t listening, Luis Teixeira (co-host on the Internet Marketing podcast with Justin Harrison) convinced him to open up a virtual Internet marketing program for those that are desperate to start a REAL business online. WARNING! This program is certainly not for everyone. Many have fallen by the wayside when seeing what it takes and the effort that goes into ...
My Cousin Vinny is Getting Married
For those that don't know, Vince DelMonte is getting married to his fiance, Flavia, on the 26 June 2010. They are planning quite the wedding celebration, having to accommodate Flavia's 16 siblings (all from the same mom and dad) and Vince's Italian family. So, as you can imagine they're planing to have one massive celebrity weddings. Like almost every couple on the planet that are about to get married, they've decided to get themselves looking their absolute best for their special day. I mean if you ask me, the two of them look like the perfect couple, and I'm sure they ...
Paypal in SA with FNB and we get Uncapped ADSL at last!
Paypal in SA with FNB and we get Uncapped ADSL at last! FNB and MWeb have gone ahead and pioneered the way this week to open wide the online world for South Africans to surf and send money across the Internet safe and secure. FNB customers can now send money and sell products online, using their local South African FNB bank account and Paypal. MWeb on the other hand started offering an overseas standard UNCAPPED ADSL service that started a price war amongst Internet Service Providers nationwide. Naturally, we're still waiting for Telkom to play catch up. So What Is Paypal? (Just ...
DarrynRex.com Hacked!
Does the term "Hack the Planet!" mean anything to you? For most of you that were (or are) running older versions of Wordpress installations on your hosting platforms you are probably not aware that you are in fact open to being hacked! Towards the end of last month one of my hosting accounts with HostGator was hacked and several of my blog sites were down whilst I was away in Cape Town. Talk about ruining a perfectly good holiday. I immediately contacted the HostGator support team and as per usual they were all over it. They got on the case straight away ...
Paypal coming to South Africa?
Rumour has it that this week it was leaked out onto the streets (namely the social network called Twitter) that FNB (First National Bank) South Africa are looking to license the online payment giant in South Africa. For some years now, Paypal has been sitting off the shores of the country that is longing to have the international option to make and receive payments online. Many of my friends online as well as online marketers and businesses have been waiting intensely to have Paypal open up its online banking for all to use locally. A good friend of mine keeps telling ...
